my words are magic beans that grow into a stalk
so, follow where I lead, let's take a little walk
past wolves that ain't nothing but huff & puff
you're running with the big dogs now & I just called your bluff
my house is made of stone, while you're wearing grandma's clothes
I mastered poetry and reinvented prose
with flows that topple foes and rescue damsels in distress
my cupboard's never bare, my porridge passes every test
impressed? distressed? afraid you've met your match?
I burn quick like candlesticks; too nimble for you to catch
so sing, "hey diddle diddle, this cat don't play no fiddle
but he still make music so sweet
that
She was the quiet sort,
tsunamis tucked
within her eyes,
anxieties pinned
to pottery skin;
she would mold herself
into moonlight butterflies
and glist'ning calla lilies,

and when night cast
itself upon her in
heated, hard'ning flames,
she’d smash herself
upon the rocks
and in morning start

No poetry was written,
No fairytales were read.
As if it was forbidden,
By the monsters in her head.
And all they thought was silly,
Was quickly thrown away.
By a girl who had to grow up,
By a girl who couldn't play.
All her dreams and fantasies,
All her fears and hopes.
Thrown in a bag of garbage,
Balloons and skipping ropes.
The teddybears and puzzles,
All had to retreat.
For new puzzles in her head,
She never would complete.
No poetry was written,
No fairytales were told.
Her eyes spoke of a sad tale,
Her hands were always cold.
She thought of no white horses,
For she was no princess.
Her life was about papers,

If you bring me the night, I will mold it into a blanket and drape it over us, for the night belongs to lovers. It alone can be privy to the whispered words beneath the sheets.
If you bring me a warning, I will disregard its call. With my blades I can fight off all foes, so long as I remain with you. I am the knight w
